Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Academy
The science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) magnet academy at Marietta Center for Advanced Academics provides third through fifth grade students an integrated, rigorous academic program. Based on the Georgia Performance Standards (GPS), the comprehensive, STEM magnet program uses a balance of texts and technological resources to provide an education that is challenging at higher levels, and faster-paced, than most traditional elementary learning environments.

Avoid The Rush… Get Back-to-School Immunizations Today
Children entering kindergarten, or those who are new to Georgia this school year will need an Immunization Certificate, Georgia Form 3231 and a Dental, Vision and Hearing Form 3200. Additionally, children entering the 6th grade need two doses of chicken pox vaccine, if they have not had chicken pox disease and, two doses of MMR (Measles, Mumps and Rubella). Pre-Registration and Pre-Opening/Open House - Dates Set
Marietta City Schools (MCS) classes begin Thursday, Aug. 12, 2010. Pre-registration dates/times and Pre-opening/open house activities dates/times vary district-wide. The MCS Transportation Department hosts their annual "Kindergarten Kruise" Tuesday, Aug. 10 during regularly scheduled route times. More»

Kindergarten Kruise, Aug. 10
The Marietta City Schools Transportation Department hosts their annual "Kindergarten Kruise", Tuesday, Aug. 10 for elementary students and their parents. Buses run during regularly scheduled route times, and any elementary student, regardless of grade, can ride the bus with their parent. Parents and students are returned to their original pickup location upon completion of the route.
